Wrap Carrier Instructions
IMPORTANT
- When using this Wrap Carrier you must constantly monitor your baby.
- Keep the carrier away from fire.
- Only use this carrier with babies weighing between 3.5kg (7.7lbs) and 11kg (24lbs).
Fall Hazard
Leaning, bending over or tripping can cause your baby to fall. Always keep one hand on the baby while moving. Your balance may be adversely affected by your movement and that of your baby. This carrier is not suitable for use during sporting activities.
How To Use
1.
Centre the logo panel across your chest.
2.
Hold onto the top edges of the Wrap Carrier (to keep fabric flat and untwisted) and slide your hands along the fabric to take it around your back. Get ready to cross the fabric behind you.
3.
The right hand takes hold of the top of both edges of the cloth with the right index finger separating the two fabric sides. The left hand reaches underneath the fabric on the left and grasps the top edge of the right fabric and then crosses the fabric.
Slide your hands as far out and along the top edge of the fabric and lift your arms up so as to place the loose fabric over your shoulders.
The wrap carrier should cross your back and sit smoothly.

Gently shake out any bunching and bring the fabric back over your shoulders to fall straight down over your front.
Organise the fabric evenly across your shoulders and ensure the first 'cross' sits smoothly across your back.

Gather up the long ends, like spaghetti, and tuck them all the way under the logo band. The ends should now fall to the floor.

The logo panel needs to be pulled in tightly and evenly, from top to bottom. Lift the shoulder fabric, up then down.
Repeat at inner edges, middle, and outer edges lifting, up from the shoulders and down. Any loose fabric across your baby will now move to the front, tightening the logo panel.

Now cross the fabric ends, with the awareness that this is the level your baby's bottom will sit.
In a newborn, it is roughly around 6cm above your belly button, older babies slightly lower.

Wrap ends of your carrier firmly around your hips, crossing again at the back.
9.
Bring the fabric back around to the front and tie in a double knot or bow. If there is excess fabric left over, you can tie it at your back.
10.
Prepare for your baby by checking for firmness and comfort - place your hands inside the fabric and press down.

Check the leg openings are firm enough so baby cannot slip through. It is very important to support the baby's head until the baby can support its own head.
While putting baby in carrier, use a hand to cradle baby against you, and do not lean such that baby's head may not be properly supported.
12.
Move your baby over to the other shoulder, keeping him high, to avoid having a stretch the fabric and tuck his other leg under the panel.
13.
Leaning back slightly, move your hands under the outer edges of the wrap, and holding your baby's torso, gently bring him down to the resistance of the crossed fabric.
14.
Tuck your baby's arms inside the fabric with his hands up on either side of his head and begin to organise the fabric between your baby's legs to create a nice deep, knee to knee seat.
15.
Starting with the crossed fabric, closest to the baby, take fabric in both hands so that "thumbs kiss" and spread fabric from the centre of each panel to evenly wrap from shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee.
Repeat with the outer fabric of the crisscross.
16.
Ensure the fabric is spread wide from shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee and adjust your baby until you are satisfied that he is well positioned.
17.
By gently bending your baby's leg at the knee, lift his foot up and tuck under the logo panel. There is no need to tug or stretch the logo panel down.
(NB. A newborn can 'froggy' up their legs and feet inside the carrier.)
18.
Gently pull the logo panel up and over baby's back to the base of his neck. It is very important, especially in newborns, to support the baby's head until the baby can support its own head.
19.
Head support can be achieved by spreading the appropriate shoulder wrap over the back of the baby's head.
Regularly check your baby's position and adjust the fabric across his bottom to maintain a deep supported seat.

If you lean forward, your baby should not drop away from your chest at all. Your baby should feel fixed in place and be visible and at a kissable height at all times.
